Fridah is a trade economist currently working as an Assistant Programmes Coordinator at Econews Africa. She has over seven years’ experience across the EAC working for government agencies, private entities and development partners in the areas of international trade, cross-border trade, trade policy, trade law, trade facilitation, export/import trade, regional integration, MSMEs and gender mainstreaming. Additionally, she has profound understanding of risk management, risk analysis, risk mapping, risk implementation support, risk evaluation, risk assessment, risk monitoring, statistical analysis, and project development. She is an international trade policy and trade law master’s candidate at Lund University. She holds an executive post graduate diploma in international trade policy and trade law, a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and statistics, as well as certifications on negotiating regional trade agreements for trade in times of crisis and pandemic, project management and trade and gender.
