Mr. John Ochola

Mr. John Ochola is a trade and development expert who has been working as the Coordinator of Econews Africa until his appointment to the board. He has worked extensively on governance issues and was the East Africa Programme Officer in charge of Accountable Governance, Economic Justice and Rights at Christian Aid before joining Econews Africa. Mr. Ochola works with the United Nations Volunteers.
Previously, he has worked with a UN Habitat project on the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), an alliance of global, regional and national partners contributing to poverty alleviation through land reform, improved land management and security of tenure. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Nottingham and is currently pursuing a PhD in Development Studies at the Jomo Kenyatta University for Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
