Mr. Cyprian Nyamwamu

Mr. Cyprian Nyamwamu (Chairperson) is a Pan-African governance, gender and leadership consultant who is currently the Executive Director of the Future of Kenya Foundation (FutureK); a democratic development organization working for the promotion of human rights, good governance, policy and legal reforms as well as deepening democracy and social justice. Before joining FutureK, he worked with the East African Democracy Foundation, an organization with a footprint in the five EAC countries.
Mr. Nyamwamu was also the Executive Director of the National Convention Executive Council (NCEC); a civic organization that successfully created a social movement to spearhead Constitutional reforms in Kenya through mass civic mobilisation and engagement from 2005 to 2012.He has consulted with numerous organizations in Africa including UNDP, UN Women, UNFPA, the Netherlands Institute for Multi-Party Democracy (NIMD), IDASA, National Democratic Institute, Freedom House, and the South African Institute for International Affairs (SAIIA). Mr. Nyamwamu also sits on the UN Women Board. Mr. Nyamwamu is a trained political scientist and also holds a Master’s in Policy and Public Administration from Kenyatta University.
